01 | How dust is generated
Before explaining the design and manufacturing principles of a cleanroom, it’s important to understand how dust originates. There are five main sources:
⦁    Dust leaking in from the outside air
⦁    Dust carried in with raw materials
⦁    Dust generated by operating equipment
⦁    Dust produced during the production process itself
⦁    Dust introduced by personnel
A cleanroom uses specialized design and materials to filter out airborne particles, gases, bacteria and more. It tightly controls temperature, pressure, airflow, humidity, static, lighting and vibration — so that regardless of outside conditions, the room stays clean and stable.
02 | What is a cleanroom (dust-free workshop)
A cleanroom — also called a “clean room,” “clean-air room,” or “controlled-environment room” — is a room where the concentration of airborne particles is strictly controlled.
Cleanrooms are designed to control two main sources of particles: those entering from outside, and those generated or retained inside. Accordingly, cleanroom design and construction focus on controlling both external infiltration and internal generation/retention of particles.
03 | Cleanroom air-cleaning process — simplified
Air enters the cleanroom and passes through layers of filters and air-handling equipment (pre-filters ➝ HEPA/ULPA filters).
Filtered air is then directed into the cleanroom through supply vents, pushing dust and particles down and out.
Used air is drawn back out, re-filtered, and recirculated — constantly cleaning and stabilizing the environment.
Conclusion: Why cleanrooms matter — and how Auber Packaging does it well
Dust contamination in cosmetic packaging often originates during manufacturing — from air, materials, machines, or people. A properly designed cleanroom is the most effective defense. It controls particles, airflow, temperature, humidity and surfaces, keeping packaging — and final products — safe and clean.
